My name is LESLIE LAM.

“...from a young age, I fell in love with painting, drawing and experimenting with new and mixed media which I believe are the fundamental skills that an Architect should master in order to represent Architectural qualities such as light, space, scale etc. 

I have a strong passion for Art and Design , especially drawing, painting, batik, silk painting, watercolour.

I devote my leisure time to keeping a sketch-journal and diary to record various events that have inspired me. My sources of inspiration are mainly from places I have been, various types of Art Exhibitions (local and national) as well as Architecture Journals. (AJ, AR, BD, Detail etc.) This body of work also became my scrapbook of ideas and precedents which has not only helped me with my academic projects, but also gives me a broader view of design innovations and construction details. I particularly enjoy travelling with my easel along with paints, canvases and my sketch-journal. Painting and freehand drawing builds up my observational skills as well as being an rewarding and satisfying experience.
