Black Swan

 

I always saw Victoria Quays as a sanctuary within the busy centre of Sheffield. A beautiful scene locked within the most unexpected of locations, between the Parkway roundabout and the loading bays of the old Castle Market. Filled with Canal boats docked resting at peace.Despite each boat's inherently similar structure, each on its own is unique in its own way to reflect its owners personalities and Hobbies. Painting this makes me think of what life will be like if I lived on the water? What will I take with me? What will my daily routine consist of? The sun will rise at different orientations depending on which way the boat is facing. But the main essence is that the feeling of home is always with you, no matter where you go! Just step outside my home and I'll be in a different city!
